I'm Quincy Rice. I was born in Jamaica, Queens, starting my art journey in elementary school through to college years. Spending time being a painter, drawer, and digital graphic artist, these traits intertwine in my work. They allow me to create a more modern take on traditional painting styles. I paint portraits and narratives about my perspective as a growing human. These paintings can capture one’s experience through the human condition, grounded earth living and political correlation, focusing on people under policies and how those policies inflict their lives. From smaller and more local to observing Washington's trickled down politics, my paintings aim to battle corruption and embrace community.
